Green Cleaning Spotting Guide

Green Cleaning Spotting Guide

Tips For Spotting Prior To Professional Green Carpet Cleaning

Pretest all spotting solutions in an inconspicuous area prior to using on any stain or spot, these techniques are not generally recommended for use on upholstery. Please seek professional help for stained fabrics. Apply a small amount of cleaning solution to a towel and then gently rub the test area. Dye bleeding will show up on the towel. If any dye transfer or damage becomes visible, you should contact a professional technician. Act quickly, staining is influenced by many factors, and no carpet is completely stain proof.

Best Green Cleaning Products For Stain Removal

The solutions you want to have ready are detergent, ammonia, vinegar, and plain water. Don’t forget to have a liter of Club Soda as well. Blot liquid spills with dry, white, absorbent terry towels or white paper towels until the entire spill is absorbed. (Using a wet vac is also a good idea).

Helpful Notes About Using The Stain Removal Chart

For semi-solids, gently scrape up with a spoon. Dry solids should be broken up and vacuumed out prior to treatment. Locate the stain in the spotting removal chart – the numbers listed by each stain correspond to a cleaning agent. Use the solutions in the order that they are listed – if the spot isn’t removed with the first agent then proceed to the next solution in the chart for that stain. Absorb as much as possible and repeat if necessary. Always rotate your towel, using a clean area each time you apply more solution. Continue until spill is completely removed. Some spills take longer to remove than others. Dry the area completely with a clean towel and apply weight, rotate the towel until dry.
